The LRTF also includes the 3 largest international tram operators (Transdev, Veolia and Keolis). Transdev operates in Nottingham. Keolis is Preferred Bidder for Merseytram.
London Tramlink
London Tramlink manages TfL's tram projects. It ensures safe and efficient Tramlink services, manages investment in the network and works to ensure the integration of trams into the London-wide transport network. As well as managing the Tramlink system, London Tramlink manages future tramway developments in London. They have knowledge gained from negotiating the design, build, operation and maintenance of the existing tramway and involvement in the development of new national and international standards.
UKTram has been set up to represent the tram industry in its dealings with the Government and other agencies. We are currently addressing a number of issues which are holding back the successful development of tram schemes in the UK. We have set up a series of Activity Teams, comprising industry experts in the appropriate fields, to investigate specific problem areas and make recommendations for change. These Activities involve tram scheme costing issues and procurement processes, as well as the valuation of the perceived benefits of proposed schemes.
